FERMI EDUCATION · UPDATED 9 SEPTEMBER 2026

Cancellation & Refund Policy

For private tutoring, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Free consultations remain free to cancel.

Private tutoring cancellations

  • At least 24 hours before the lesson: cancel or reschedule without a cancellation fee.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: a charge of up to 50% of the agreed lesson fee may apply.
  • No-show without notice: a charge of up to 100% of the agreed lesson fee may apply.

These are maximum charges, not automatic penalties. Any charge will reflect reasonable loss from the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and whether the slot is filled. We reduce or waive the charge if the loss is lower, and waive it if no loss is incurred. Illness and emergencies are considered individually, including whether a fee should be waived.

These terms must be disclosed and agreed before booking. They do not retrospectively change an existing booking or override your consumer rights.

How to notify us

Email [email protected] or use the booking contact agreed with you. Include the student’s name and session date. Notice is measured from when your message reaches the agreed contact channel, not when we reply. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

Free consultations

There is no cancellation fee for a free consultation. Please let us know if you cannot attend so we can offer the time to another family.

If Fermi cannot provide the session

We will offer a suitable replacement or rescheduled lesson. If no suitable alternative is agreed, we will refund the amount paid for the undelivered session. If there is a significant technical interruption, tell the tutor promptly so we can consider make-up time, rescheduling or another appropriate remedy.

Programmes and prepaid support

Before payment, we will explain the programme dates, group requirements, any expiry of prepaid sessions and the applicable withdrawal terms. If we cancel a programme or make a material change you do not accept, we will refund the affected undelivered services. For a change-of-mind withdrawal, any deduction must be lawful, reasonable and disclosed before booking; unused payments are not automatically forfeited.

Service problems and consumer rights

This policy does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable law. Please tell us if support has not been delivered with reasonable care and skill. Depending on the problem, you may be entitled to correction, cancellation, a refund or compensation. A credit or replacement is not your only option where the law gives you a refund right.

Requesting a refund

Send the booking or invoice details, the reason for your request and your preferred resolution to Woojin. We will review the request, explain the outcome and arrange any refund without unreasonable delay, normally through the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Please do not email full payment-card details.
